马来半岛的南方门户
新山市(Johor Bahru, “柔佛峇鲁市”，简称“JB”)是马来西亚柔佛州的首府，亦是马来西亚南部之科技、政治、金融、商业与贸易、旅游、文化和教育中心。马来西亚气候非常的舒适宜人，全年都是非常温和的，所以四季都适合旅游，新山这里有很多的景点，其中非常著名的就是乐高主题公园。
新山市位于马来西亚半岛和欧亚大陆最南端，与邻国新加坡隔着柔佛海峡相对，因此亦享有“大马南方门户”、“南门城”等雅称。新山市东接巴西古当，西临依斯干达公主城，西北依古来，南隔柔佛海峡与邻国新加坡相望，陆距首都吉隆坡约336公里。
